Did you miss me?

29 Aug

Hey everyone! Sorry it’s been ages since I’ve posted… Even longer than usual, haha.

So some fun updates about my life… I am no longer in North Carolina on the Alpaca farm. Yes, It’s kind of sad, but It’s also a good thing.

I don’t know if any of you follow me on Twitter, but if you do, you probably heard me complaining of death for about a solid week. Stomach pain from hell. I couldn’t sleep at night. I couldn’t eat. After a week of that, I decided that I needed to go to the doctor. But the worst part was, the people I was staying with didn’t want to take me. : ( Val said she didn’t believe in modern medicine, that it was a waste of time and money.

Now, I understand everyone has their own opinions. But I am 22 years old, and I know when I need to see a doctor. Finally, they gave in and took me to urgent care. It turns out it was pretty serious. The doctor there was really worried about my symptoms (stomach pain, back and shoulder pain, nausea, fever.. etc) and told me to rush to the emergency room for an ultra sound, he thought I was having a gallbladder attack.

And I was. I spent 6 hours in the hospital, but thankfully they gave me some pain meds! The ER Doctor told me that it didn’t look like I would need surgery that night, but that when I got home I would need it taken out.

The people I was staying with made a really rude phone call to my parents, and the next day, my dad and brother picked me up. It wasn’t one of the best experiences of my life, that’s for sure. : (

So, I’ve been spending the past week just resting and getting better (The Dr. gave me some antibiotics and pain meds to last until I see the doctor here in Indiana) and focusing on my first week of school. At first I tried to keep up with blogs and comment and stuff, but I knew I just needed to rest. So I’m sorry if I haven’t commented in a while!

But now I’m back, and excited to start blogging again. To be fair, I was only eating saltine crackers and cranberry juice the past week (quick way to lose 10 pounds, but I don’t recommend it, lol) So my posts wouldn’t of been too exciting.

Stay tuned tomorrow for this dairy free recipe….

Omigawd, I hope everything is okay! I can’t believe that the people you were working for would be so rude to you and your parents when you’re having a medical emergency — pardon my French, but FUCK THEM!

Respecting the opinions of others’ is good and all, but that needs to be a two-way street — as in, if YOU want to go to the hospital, then THEY need to RESPECT your wishes and take you in! I don’t even know you in real life and I still want to nut-punch your ex-employers… sheesh!

    Anyways, feel better soon!

haha thank you! I felt the same way. This sounds weird but I was actually kind of glad it was something serious so I could prove to them I needed to see a dr. She kept trying to get me to drink tea and take vitamins saying that would heal me, and I was like, no, I think I need to see a doctor, lol.
