Hey everyone! So about a week ago Brittany over at A Spoonful of Peanut Butter tagged me in the Blissful Blogger Award!! Which is amazing. (And so is Brittany, fyi. You should check out her blog. p.s.- she likes peanut butter. If you couldn’t tell.)
Anywho, I’m supposed to tell you 9 Random facts about myself, so here they are!
1. People always think my best friend and I are twins.
I always seem to have a best friend with red hair. My best friend from elementary school through high school had red hair. Everyone thought we were sisters. And my bestest most best friend of all time that I met in college has red hair too. I don’t think we look that alike, but I guess at first glance we do if you don’t know us.
Her is some Liz/Adrienne randomness for you. The first picture we are acting ridiculous in Staples (We tried to climb one of the ladders to get to the higher shelves. We were politely asked to leave. Oops.) The middle picture is us celebrating during out last college class ever. Of course we’ll ‘get rid of’ the extra alcohol Chef. No problem. : ) And yes, the picture on the far right is us at the American Girl Place restaurant. With our American Girl Dolls. Dream come true!
2. I am absolutely horrified of dinosaurs.
It seems kind of ridiculous I know. Dinosaurs don’t exist anymore. They’re extinct. But I used to have horrific and graphic nightmares about them. I can’t watch Jurassic Park. euh. I blame that TV show Dinosaurs that was out in the 90’s. Does anyone remember that? It wasn’t really animated, but I don’t think it was real people in costumes… That baby scared me. “I’m the baby, gotta love me!” double euh.
3. I was almost on MTV’s Made.
This makes me look like more of a dork than the Dinosaur thing does. But I was. I was going to learn how to be a freestyle soccer player. I didn’t want to actually play soccer, I just wanted to do neat tricks with a soccer ball. Anyway, I filled out the pre-application, not expecting anything. A month later I got an e-mail from MTV asking me to fill out the final application and make a video. I was excited, but my brother assured me that they sent that e-mail to everyone. Here’s an awesome photo of me with my rainbow soccer ball that I practiced with:
A couple weeks after I got the e-mail, MTV called and left me a voice mail. They wanted to know if I’d made my video, because they wanted me to be on their next season of MADE. I was SO excited. But after thinking about it, I was going to college, and I didn’t want to be that kid who was on Made for my 4 year college experience.
In the end, I’m glad I didn’t do it. Because there was a kid in my freshman class that was on Made that year. And for the next 4 years everyone referred to him as “The Kid Who Was On Made”. Phew. Glad it wasn’t me!
4. My brother is the coolest kid I know. And also, I love Sea Shepherd.
Sea Shepherd is an awesome organization that helps protect the Earth’s ocean life in, unconventional ways. They’ve got a show on Animal Planet called Whale Wars that my brother and I watch religiously.
Which brings me to the first half of this fact, My brother is the coolest kid I know. And he’s hilarious. He makes a lot of silly youtube videos (That I help with /hold the camera!!) And he made a few about Whale Wars/Sea Shepherd. Since I thought they were so funny, I posted them on Sea Shepherd’s Facebook page. They loved them, and my brother’s videos inspired a contest.
Here’s the screen shot of their website announcing the winners. (The first prize was a gift certificate to their store, and the chance to go on one of their campaigns.) He’s the best. Really.
5. My brother and I have High School Musical movie marathons at least twice a year.
I know, I know. Even dorkier than Made and the dinosaurs. But when my brother and I watch tv, we like to make comments and make fun of things. And we both think Zefron is dreamy. haha.
6. When I was in college, I was an RA. Who was known for her STD’s.
I know it sounds odd, but I was. No, not the STD’s your thinking of. Cute cuddly little monster STDs. duh.
I would make these little monsters for my program signs, and one day they turned into a scavenger hunt program with STD facts on the back. (It had to be educational.) Only in the halls I lived in would you ever hear these words, “You found herpes? Where?” “In the bathroom, I gave it to Liz last night!” and know they didn’t mean anything bad.
7. My 2nd word spoken was Minnie Mouse
It was an understatement that I loved Minnie Mouse as a child. I was obsessed with her. My first word was ‘juice’, and the second was ‘minnie mou’ at least that’s how I said it. You can only imagine that whenI was four and actually went to Disney World and met her, It was the greatest moment of my life. It’s been downhill ever since.
8.I lived on a Donkey Farm in Belgium
When I was a junior in high school I was a foreign exchange student in Belgium. (The French part, obvi.) I lived with an awesome family that had 5 daughters. (and only one bathroom. You can imagine how that worked out.) They also had 22 donkeys. In fact, “donkey” was the first new French word I learned when I arrived there. And don’t’ worry, they didn’t eat them or anything. They were just pets.
Me and a donkey. oh yeah.
9. If you could invite 3 people to dinner, who would it be?
I don’t even need to think. James Dyson. Anderson Cooper. Leonardo DiCaprio, in a tuxedo. James Dyson because he’s got a badass accent and he’s like a bazillionaire for making vacuums and fans (that don’t have blades!) Anderson Cooper because I’m in love with him, and Leonardo DiCaprio because I love his acting. But he’s got to be wearing a tuxedo. That’s the only reason I watch The Academy Awards or the Golden Globes. To see him in a tuxedo. (I was distraught this past year because he didn’t show up to either of them. The nerve.)
So there you have it folks. 9 fun facts about me. I’m going to be lame and not tag anyone, because I think most people have already been tagged, as I’m late in the game at getting this posted.
Who would you invite to dinner if you could? Do you have any friends that could be your twin?
